Interlude: of sorts: 'Audioslave' "Doesn't Remind Me" ALERT !!!

These are the words and for my fellow players, I hope you come away with more than just the guitar chords as you likely already figured these out for "Doesn't Remind Me" by: Audioslave
                  ~ LeMarc preface:
It's a real easy and fast learn. Simple even, and very simple to just hammer away at the easy chords ---and yes, that's fun, but lets make it even better as this song is very different actually than it might appear, but more important it's well worth the time to dig in and see why it is so worth the deeper look. The bridge couldn't be more simple, but CCornell's voice of course, is one reason, and his is one of my favorites, but the 'intervals' and/or melody really- that he draws on in this Dm -C move in the bridge is brilliant, haunting--shocking. I'm hard!   ... ---scuse'm---that's another paper.

WOW ---2 chords that are great and are also 2 of the very 1st that you learn when you start musically with guitar and I expect that it's similar with piano also as in "middle (C)"
---also because guitar/keys are best for a substantive reason. You can play chords and with single note melodies not just confined to singles line leads, even if -say ---the Sax can sound great and needed ---it still can't play more than 1 note at a time.
So Enjoy! I haven't had time, well, I'm really not concerned (myself) with tabbing out the solo, but I like it and all I'm trying to do here is make that chocolate cookie that is so good---a lil' sweeter. Otherwise, yeah, that cookie will taste great, but then it's gone and you'll be back to ?Melba? and then what are you? Toast.  ---ok ---ok --whtevr..ok time to go after that--- HaA!

but you get it ---All I'm trying is to hip you up on ways to make your own 'cookie' gems.
OK. I'm pulling myself from this now before I puke.
It really is something so good---don't miss out!
                                                 peace, ---out!

          to the song!

Intro and Verse:
E                 E                   A   *g5    E   *(brush open 3 and 4 on way down to (E) & on way up to (E)
I walk the streets of Japan -till I get lost
Cause it doesn't remind me of anything
With a graveyard tan and carrying cross
Cause it doesn't remind me of anything
I like studying faces -in the parking lot
Cause it doesn't remind me of anything
I like driving backwards -in the fog
Cause it doesn't remind me of anything

[Chorus]
E  D  A  E    x 3   --->  (easy to play wrong----still great---but (you) can work this out to your likes)
The things that I've loved ---the things that I've lost
The things I've held sacred ---that I've dropped (I have to note his way of "sacred" ---not just vibrato)
I won't lie no more you can bet
I don't want to learn what I'll need ---to forget

          Verse:
(stay with "verse chords noted above"

I like gypsy moths ---and radio talk  ---> (with sic' vocalizing entering)
Cause it doesn't remind me of anything
I like gospel music ---and canned applause
Cause it doesn't remind me of anything
I like colorful clothing ---in the sun
Cause it doesn't remind me of anything
I like hammering nails and speaking in tongues
Cause it doesn't remind me of anything

[Chorus]   --->E D A
let ring before goin on to the next verse or the bridge...

The things that I've loved ---the things that I've lost
The things I've held sacred ---that I've dropped
I won't lie no more you can bet
I don't want to learn what I'll need --------
      (to BRIDGE)

(Interlude/bridge (before solo):

Dm         Dm
Bend and shape me
  C                 C
I love the way you are

A            A
Slow and sweetly
G                    E
Like nev'(r) before

Dm          Dm
Calm and sleeping
      C                      C
We won't stir up the past

A       A
So descretely
      G              E
We won't look back

  (Morello's Guitar solo)
I'm not any particular fan of him especially- he has done things I like, just
speaking on this though, he does it up pretty good here and at a million mph,---which is rare that
with this type of speed, he is still able to create the tension building last 2  -4 or so measures.

Now, BLAST into the -final (Chrorus)

[Chorus]     (you know what chords to grab by now)

The things that I've loved ---the things that I've lost
The things I've held sacred ---that I've dropped
I won't lie no more you can bet
I don't want to learn what I'll need to forget

Outro:
E  E  A  E    x3
then: on the last chord proggression, it goes:
-but I'll bet you know perfectly anyway--- (just adds the extra A chord strike)

E        E        A        E         (etc:)
I like throwing my voice and breaking guitars
Cause it doesn't remind me of anything
I like playing in the sand ---what's mine is ours
        E  (as prior) 'then'    A A E   (and hold---
If it doesn't remind me of anything...

(Favorite line?---"Things I've held sacred, that I dropped" Damn ---(I) wanted to
write that. Didn't. Well, I guess I just did, so ---
Note: 1st--yes this is for beginners. I will say that even longtime players (if ego is held in check) could benefit from ---and maybe do me a solid by splain'n' keys/modes to me.
Too lazy to just take the time ---and don't want to. I love coming at it from a strange perspective, BUT EVH's old axiom (and Eddie was crazy good, yes, but something lacked I felt ---a lil' soul?) about his playing and how he learned was (it's great to be able to play -if you can by ear alone, but some good tools -like knowledge- bur "lessons" was what he said- never hurt) as anyone that knows what I speak of about those lucky fks that can just figure it out. Though these days there is no excuse to not be able to find key (pearls) that open things up for you. With me, it came in waves, and a monsoon when I got the Line 6 "Spider JAM" that is basically your own band. You lay out any "beds" tracks, and then play over that, and fill in where you want etc through a 75w amp that is the "JAM" $400 out the door and you'll be taking your playing to levels that (likely) you would never (I know I would never) have reached. Thee most important of that is you'll love your own playing and a type of re-discovery happenes as it did in 2005 with my Marshall DS 100, but absolutly in late 08' with me. You will see what I mean unless you are so spoiled/burned out to have always had a band to play. Even if, because now this provides you your own dictatorship and your're the dic. I wasn't able to have many peeps that played. No cry ---Turned great for me. Now and in recent years, I can, (speaking of play by ear). Not way back though, (I) needed to look, and more pressing was (I needed to like the tune) otherwise I just couldn't learn it. Likely because I didn't like what-ever song, and since our brains are wired to go after pleasure, not to do some pratice thing on something we don't like.
Just in case you think I am re-inventing the wheel or ? Just lending a hand that I didn't get, but I got---get it? Good. Although as I say any suggestions on this or good observations are always welcome ---so...we return to our regurally scheduled program.
Well, I really hope this helps: The songs a breeze--I think even the beginner will know this. As you can see this is very remedial with regards to chords etc: but again I say brillant because of his spacing because depending on where you are as a player it's either known or unknown why you like this song so much. It's the fkkn melody. Also very well placed chanting during a couple measures in the verses.  I know you fkkrs know what I mean when I say I wish (I) wrote this. Give the dude his due---
Cornell is mad great because THIS tune is set up to fail but he (and of course his producers) ----I don't know how "hands on" Cornell is in the control room----has his name on the finished piece.
I'll leave you with this---I suggest that you use his phrasing as inspiration for your own works and my (opinion) is to not worry about being fastest, or some BS "dogmatic" mechanical lemming spout from some that talk of ? needing to have a 7th or a 4th or etc: that's all well and good to know. It IS. How-ever---Play and listen with complete honesty and you'll be so happy with your choices and ---well, it can make your whole day and much more than that of course. Have a friend that cramps what you really really want to hear and do? Drop said 'friend' or show the beauty of this lil' piece and you might even get a better friend/bandmate as tightening it up sometimes does a world of good for all.

I didn't just pick this song at random. I chose this becasue these ARE as I said remedial moves in the song. Look what can be done though. Happy playing and peace to ya monkey fkkers.

A Letter To (ALL-Type) Readers: What I Am NOT Doing. (Energy)

Hi! Welcome. Come in. Make yourselves comfortable and please leave the doors open---
---I prefer this anyway, and we'll all get more out of this.
From a person that is (almost) certain there are (curious) types of energies that -somehow- have some (not for us to know yet) ways of slightly interacting with us from time to time in a way that (and I don't agree with this word in the 1st place) -just as a word- "supernatural". I say that with hesitation because I'll likely be taken wrong meaning I am referring to "ghosts" etc and those type terms. I can't exactly say no, but I would like to think I can finish this having done well enough that the reader is never feeling pushed out of way of the rational: meaning to keep things in perspective.
Now, I realize that most likely these have been and are coincidences that are very easily explained and I will just bring it to the head with saying---I'm pretty certain. I've heard it called the transendent, the numonous---I agree in full. This (confusing said two terms) with a God. It is itself what I think to be such the important step that needs expounding on. (coming).
I say this because I KNOW this feeling. We like to attatch it to a God. I can't say it's not.
One such incident---I can not help but feel that there is (something). I have 2-3 or 4. I was able to actually pretty easily reason this out.
So, friends, I'lI come at this as a believer in an energy ---really not a believer, ---that would be like "believing" in electricity. We know it's there, but to what extent I really think this is the question of our being. Or, at least that we should be trying to examine.
Ending with --What-ever a person may read here---you'd absolutley e taking my words and meanings wrong if you came away thinking that I make fun of one's faith. "Making fun" No. Just examining the "Genesis" and trying to fill this hole that atheist (some) seem to delight in digging, yet replace with zip. Not even an effort. While it's clear that I do not even for a moment beelieve in (bible--of course not), but a god that---well, we make god out to be. Which-ever sect of the religious spectrum you land on. I, if agrevation--or furiousness comes to you ---this is NOT my intention as I am racking my meanial grey not matter to warmly fill this whole that (even some writers that I have come to like a bit---and as I sa one, especially---but not because of what he writes, it's more of a peculiar respect I find myself having---really---I feel sorry for him...of course tihs is CHitchens ---
I have wrote that I ran across him in *96 blistering "mother teresa" and it just seemed perfect.
But, I enjoy CH for other reasons ---
I wanted to be his (auto) biographer---but decided to not even try ---He's dull to me cept when he's on". It's a thrill seeing anyone that is "on" in their specialty. No---I love the human nature aspect---or that's what I find more fascinating---a little ---> if you are really, --I mean really honest with yourself, You will find youself knowing what anotheris going to say before -they do-. You'll understand what I mean. I am as sincere as I can be when I say, yes, ---peeps talk of inteligence and etc---and that buzzword (IQ) AHHHH  !!! --- Here: I'll divulge this because I want to make a point that is well worth it---yes. I do continually score in ranges that are funny to me. Why even bring this up? Because it seems to be a (taboo) thing, and if you are reading me or have ---I think you'll realize that I do NOT like being coy. Now, the reason I mention inteligence and scores (most are BS) ---mabe later on some sound tests if you are interested for yourself---as I said, if you are really honest with yourself, and know yourself, ---I can guaranty you'll have thee best chances at what-ever it is you are seeking and most likely your seeked<---(is this a word) things will change.
Staight outta Compton ---are many kids with off the chart Intel tests---we know though that the are likely (at present) not gonna get to apply what they have inthe way they might want due to ---well, Compton. Closer to point,..."Dogma" ---a word we all know and (I) think breeze by can and does cause Intel to decline. It's a defect that we ALL have. Some get along seemingly better. Some really DO get along better. I promise that I will (if healthy) show you how to ---well...bring out what you need to pull. I am an idiot --- but I am able to do some strange things ---For people that have known me for 30 plus years ---I had hit a wall---(with the races) ---I racked myself (when I wasn't  just trying to breathe). I have it now---it is scary ---I WILL --(I think) display in real time what I can do---and for my reader---YES !!! I'll do my best with showing HOW this and that can be yours with a little patience. You will see that test scores etc ---Your own range will (if truly read) open---deeply.
So remember 1 thing at least---While I do not have a biblical shackle, I DO think there is something...What it is? I'm open. I forget though who is noted for saying "don't be so open-minded that your brains fall out" ---Corny yes,...but true---and I (think) we all know what said person means.
                                   ~ LeMarc 2011

bible fun-zee's see? Do You? Well goof ar yu ---n ME-

                    ~ LeMarc 12-12-2011 6:36pm
---The Bible seems many things and a lot to most folks, but noticed it's also analogous to feedback from my amp ---What started as a beautiful piece (the reasoned measured chimes/chords/tones)- now diminshed into it's self sustaining, but moreover louder and louder more piercing/shrilll annoying 'get nowhere but harming' (sound) which falls into complete non sense as it is confronted and/or is left to continue/exist --not doing any good, which is one thing, but harming when left to it's own, ...really--- when left to exist. Now ---a God...??? Sure...seems (to my eye) almost 'likely' but all ok then?  ???
How-ever, I truly ask, WHY oh WHY would ANYONE want the god from the bible? And most important about this and what we are all wondering:
How come I can play the harmonica? Anyone know? It's set somehow
to play only tones that are sweet together in almost any interval?
